Dear Students,
As the Faculty of Engineering, we aim to integrate you into the society as well-trained leading engineers by providing high quality, and up-to-date education opportunities. We aim to provide distinguished university education with the help of our competent academic staff, modern and extensive infrastructure facilities. We aim to contribute to the universal body of science with our research and education and also to serve the society we live in. We believe that, we will accomplish these goals together.
There are eight departments in our faculty, which are Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering. Undergraduate programs in departments are structured as basic science and informatics courses, engineering core courses, departmental courses, and elective courses. Theoretical courses, laboratory courses, and practical courses are given integratively. In addition, students who do internships have the chance to apply the knowledge they obtained in the courses in industrial organizations. Our programs have been accredited by MÜDEK (Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association) and they have been granted the EUR-ACE (European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes) label. In addition, students have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters or do internships in various countries by participating in international exchange programs through programs such as Erasmus/Erasmus+, Mevlana. Besides, the students have the opportunity to obtain double major or minor program degrees. Thanks to these programs, students can improve themselves in an interdisciplinary field as well as their main programs, and they are trained as specialist engineers in certain fields. In addition, students can take part in various national and international research projects with instructors, enabling them to contribute to research projects during undergraduate education.
The alumni, who act with the vision of being innovative and pioneering engineers by creating value, get employed in important positions in the leading institutions of our country and make a difference with the education they receive in our faculty. We are elated and proud of the accomplishments of the alumni. I would like to offer my gratitude to our university administration, all our teaching staff, and administrative staff, who have made a great contribution to the education of our students, and also to your dear families who brought you to this day.
