History

The first core of our faculty was formed in 1968 with the establishment of HASTAŞ Private School of Chemical Engineering in Eskişehir and transformed into Eskişehir State Engineering-Architecture Academy in 1970. As part of the reorganisation of educational institutions in Eskişehir under the name of Anadolu University, it continued its education under the name of Anadolu University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in 1983. With the Decree Law No. 496 dated 18.8.1993, most of the staff of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture along with the infrastructure, machinery and equipment were transferred to Eskişehir Osmangazi University. In the academic year 1994-1995, it resumed its teaching activities with three departments and continued its activities in various buildings on the Yunus Emre Campus until 1998. Since October 1998, it has been offering its services in its own buildings on the İki Eylül Campus. In 2012, the Department of Architecture was separated within the faculty and transferred to the newly established Faculty of Architecture and Design, and the name of the faculty was changed to “Faculty of Engineering”. The Faculty of Engineering was affiliated to Eskişehir Technical University, which was established with Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette on May 18, 2018 and numbered 30425.

All departments of the faculty offer a four-year undergraduate education after a one-year English preparatory education. All departments are equipped with teaching and research laboratories.
